Shower glass for a bathroom remodel is the frameless shower door or enclosure that goes in after the tile is finished. Star Glass LLC supplies and installs that glass for homeowners and for contractors across northern and central New Jersey. We do not do the demolition, plumbing or tile.
When your tile is done, we measure, have the glass made and install it. The same crew handles the measure and the install.
Call before the tile is finished
Call before the tile is finished. We can tell you what the shower needs to look like for the glass: walls that are plumb, a curb or threshold that is set, and a plan for where hinges and clips will mount. We measure once the tile is done, because glass is made to those measurements and cannot be cut after it is tempered. A steam shower enclosure needs the earliest call, because the ceiling has to be planned around it.
Why contractors hire a licensed glass installer
Contractors and builders often require a licensed subcontractor. Star Glass is licensed in New Jersey, license number 13VH13775400. We show up on the date we give you and measure once.
Whole-house remodels
One homeowner had us do six bathrooms in one house. For a job like that we go over clarity, the protective coating, silicone, door size and handle height before ordering, so the bathrooms match.
The choices you make
You choose clear or low-iron glass, the thickness, the layout and the hardware finish. Most remodels take a swing door with a fixed panel, a sliding door over a tub, or a corner enclosure. We bring samples to the visit so you can match the finish to your faucet.
