A corner shower enclosure is a frameless shower door layout for a shower with tile on two walls and glass on the other two. The glass sides meet at a 90-degree corner, or a neo-angle front cuts across the corner with a diagonal door, which saves floor space in a small bathroom.

Star Glass LLC measures the pan and the walls, has the panels made to fit and installs them with clips, hinges and a handle in the finish you choose. We install corner enclosures in homes across northern and central New Jersey.

90-degree and neo-angle layouts

A 90-degree enclosure is two straight runs of glass meeting at a corner post or a glass-to-glass joint. It gives the most room inside and the cleanest look. A neo-angle enclosure has a short panel, a diagonal door, and another short panel, so the door opens toward the middle of the room instead of toward a wall. It suits a corner shower that sits close to the vanity or toilet.

Why we measure in person

Corner showers depend on the angle of the pan and whether the walls are plumb. A pan that is a few degrees off square changes how the panels meet. We measure every corner and have the glass cut to it, so the door closes evenly and the seals meet.

Glass and hardware choices

Clear, low-iron or frosted glass in 3/8 or 1/2 inch. Hardware comes in satin brass, matte black, chrome, brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze, polished nickel and brushed bronze. We bring samples to the visit so you can hold them next to your faucet. The door itself works like one of our swing shower doors. If there is no room for it to swing, a sliding shower door can replace it on the longer side.

What sets the price of a corner enclosure

A corner enclosure uses more glass than a single door, so size matters most. After that it is the glass choice, the thickness, the hardware finish, and whether the corner is a glass-to-glass joint or a post. We give you a firm price after we measure the pan.

Questions about this work

Which side of a corner shower should the door go on?

The side with the most clearance. Star Glass checks what the door would hit when it opens before the glass is made, and a neo-angle door is the fallback when neither side clears well.

Do I need a metal post at the corner?

Not always. Glass can meet glass at the corner with a clear seal, or a slim post can be used for extra support on taller panels. We decide that when we measure the pan.

Will a neo-angle enclosure fit a small bathroom?

Yes, that is what it is for. The diagonal door opens toward the open floor instead of toward the fixtures, so a corner shower can sit close to the vanity or toilet.

How much does a corner shower enclosure cost?

The price depends on the size of the pan, the glass and thickness you choose, the hardware finish and the corner detail. Star Glass gives you a firm price after measuring in your home anywhere in northern or central New Jersey.
